The purpose of the Sacred Fire Community is to rekindle our relationship to each other and the world through the universal and sacred spirit of Fire. The Sacred Fire Community consists of people from many traditions from all over the globe who value the spiritual nature of Fire as a way to touch what is essential and eternal within us. The Sacred Fire Community is involved in a number of projects that promote the sacred experience of Fire.
Blue Deer Center
The Blue Deer Center, located in the Catskill mountains of New York State, provides an important setting for teachings and practices that promote balanced relationships with the natural world. The BDC particularly welcomes ancestral approaches to healing, ritual and retreat. The Center's origins are rooted in the Huichol Shamanic tradition and our connection to the universal and sacred spirit of Fire.
Sacred Fire Magazine
Sacred Fire is a quarterly magazine forged from the ancient tradition of sharing stories, healing, wisdom, humor and community around a fire. Sacred Fire's pages feature essays, articles, poetry, fiction and art that dare to recognize the divine energies alive and at play in the world today. Our contributors are writers and artists who create from the heart, because the heart's fire is our most essential source of inspiration, connection and emotional truth. Every issue is a colorful, beautifully designed celebration of creative energy.
